Overall a good stay. Some of the front of house staff weren’t super friendly, others were great! It almost seemed as though they were annoyed that we were staying there. Pool facilities were fantastic though. Would definitely stay again just for the pool. The entire family enjoyed it. The bathrooms are tiny and I am a small person. I’m sure the larger rooms, may have bigger bathrooms but I could barely get in without hitting the shower door, I’m 5’1 and petite. Even my kiddos found it tiny. The bar area didn’t have any overhead lighting, which could have been useful in the evening. A table or a desk in the room would have also been a nice touch. This would allow a place for a laptop or to dine in. Again, the larger suites seem to have this. Other standard rooms at other establishments have had at least one or the other. There were also no hooks or a hand towel rail to place a hand towel for drying at the sink area. Just a few of these little touches would have been nice. Overall the design is good and the beds are comfortable. Underground parking is quite low. They also do not have EV chargers. But there was enough parking that we found a spot. Oversized vehicles had to park outside.

We enjoyed how quiet the hotel was considering it was fully booked during the time of our stay. The hallways, lobby, pool area were always very quiet. We traveled with our 11 month old and so the pool and sound machine in the room were great! We will stay here again in the future. The room felt clean and fresh, although the pool floors felt dirty. It was like people were walking in with their outside dirty shoes. Overall a wonderful stay! A new hidden gem in Banff.

We really appreciated the pool facilities open to adults until midnight. The hotel has a nice decor with a minimalist , clean style that I prefer. The sfaff were very pleasant and greeted us with kindness I would stay there again!

The Kenrick reopened in June 2025, after extensive renovations. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully designed. Our only issue with the room was the lack of places to hang a wet towel at the sink, easily resolved with a small rack. The sink is set outside the shower/toilet area, basically in the bedroom, next to the front door. I don't like these set-ups, because if your partner is sleeping, you can't easily use the sink without making noise and turning on a light. That brings up the subject of lighting. The room has nice, but very soft ambient lighting. The light over the sink needs to be much brighter. I found it very hard to put on makeup! Overall, we had a great stay. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. The new pool has showers, two hot tubs and two saunas. There are changing rooms and comfortable places to Lounge. Walking to the heart of downtown is 5 minutes, and there's a restaurant attached to the hotel for pretty good meals. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. If you're not staying at the iconic Banff Springs Hotel, The Kenrick is a great alternative.
