Unacceptable Room Conditions and Poor Service.
I traveled from Toronto and arrived at the hotel around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, after a 10-hour drive. Upon checking in, my wife went to take a shower and discovered the bathroom drain was completely clogged with hair and soap residue.
I immediately informed the front desk staff on duty, but instead of offering assistance or an apology, I was told, “You can leave if you want to.” At that hour, the night before a Ravens game, no other hotels in the area had availability — leaving us with no realistic alternative but to stay.
The room itself was dusty and had a strong odor, as if someone had recently smoked in it. For the price and reputation of this property, this experience was extremely disappointing. After such a long drive, we expected at the very least a clean room and a courteous response to a valid concern.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously to ensure that future guests receive better care and basic cleanliness standards are upheld.
