The hotel is beautiful, with lots of places to sit and relax, lovely gardens and an excellent swimming pool. There were always pool chairs available and poolside service for drinks. The food in the buffet and at the a-la-cartes was excellent. You will never go hungry here, there is always something delicious to eat. The beach is well maintained and the attendant is quick to bring you a lounge chair, they could do with a few more umbrellas at the beach. The staff are friendly and professional. Our favourite place was the sunset bar overlooking the ocean. The view is stunning at any time of day and especially just after the sun has set. We will definitely be back to Iberostar Playa Mita.

The bathtub drain did not close. The closet space for hangers was insufficient. The patio door was hard to open and close. The dehumidifier filter was filthy and was full of water. The door was hard to open and close. One of the safe’s was not operational. Victor our concierge dumped us the minute we told him we would not attend the breakfast meeting. We were not allowed to see our upgraded room before we purchased it. The picture we were shown for our upgraded room looked like it had an ocean view. Which it did not. Beach chairs and umbrellas were scattered recklessly. Entertainment was lacking. But I understand that you get what you pay for…therefore my rating is average but we will not return.

This hotel is in severe need of a renovation. My room on several occasions had no hot water, the mini fridge was not refilled and msid service was minimal. Maid literally picked up a used towel and rehung it! I left a geberoustip each day.

The whole resort was amazing - in particular Tanya the barista in the 24 hour coffee cafe was just so wonderful. A clean resort- delicious variety of food.

Room was good. Robes were a nice touch Staff nice The drinks were sub par. Not sure what the house alcohol is but floor cleaner would taste better. Pool was dated and a little cold Food was a great selection but buffet items were cold.

Amazing hotel and the staff are incredible The food is very delicious and fresh We had an ocean view room and we enjoyed to watch the whales from our balcony everyday. The show at the hotel and they have activities every day all day In total we enjoyed very much
