The Edenhofer family warmly welcomes you to the Carina Vacation Home. We have lovingly transformed this former hand-weaving workshop into the perfect vacation home for both active travelers and those seeking peace and quiet. The ornamental garden, designed with great attention to detail, welcomes you in every season with its sea of flowers. In addition to perennials and shrubs, you’ll also find a brick fountain, young fruit trees, and a well-maintained lawn for sunbathing. Our guests can look forward to a newly renovated house that was carefully expanded in 2012 and 2018 with a focus on environmental sustainability. The attic floors are constructed using a timber-frame system and have been insulated with wood fiber boards. We use a sustainable, modern wood pellet heating system that provides warm rooms and hot shower water entirely without fossil fuels. On sunny days, the existing solar water heating system also contributes to environmentally friendly water heating. A modern photovoltaic system supplies all apartments with green electricity during the day. You can help us reduce our reliance on electricity produced in less environmentally friendly ways by running the dishwasher preferably during the day. Taking a break from driving is also a viable option when staying at our property. This is made possible by the excellent rail connections (trains run hourly to Munich and Salzburg) as well as the central location in town (the thermal baths and shopping are just a few minutes’ walk away). A large, lockable bike shed is available for the bicycles you bring with you.Our guests receive a 10% discount on hand-woven rugs and other woolen items at the Chiemgauer Weberei gift shop located at Ströbing 13. You’re welcome to take a look at the production process during regular business hours. We also offer guided tours for groups upon request. Please note that our accommodations are rented only to vacation guests.
