Askins Creek Cottage is a three-story home with a host of amenities, furnished decks, and amazing views of the Pamlico Sound! There is no better place to watch the sunset than here. Inside, you'll find a well-equipped, full kitchen for whipping up your favorite recipes as well as a dining table for six to enjoy meals or play some board games. Pick a seat to watch TV in the sunlit and cozy living area, or head outside to take in the view and soak away your cares in your private hot tub as the sun sets. This home also includes a fish cleaning station for prepping your day's catch.

Walk out the private boardwalk from the house to the creek behind the home to sit and relax. The creek leads directly out to Pamlico Sound which is ideal for kayaking, kiteboarding, windsurfing, and fishing.

Location is perfect!

We spent a week as a family of five paddling in the sound and then walking to play at the beach. The river going out to the sound was low and required wading and pulling our SUPs and kayaks, but we made it work. The beach was lovely and we even got a permit to build a fire one night. We brought bikes and rode to Duck donuts a few mornings!

Anniversary getaway

Spent 3 nights and had a great time. Location was perfect. In a neighborhood away from the highway, but super close to ORV ramp and gas station to air up tires. Grocery store 5 min away. Fully stocked kitchen, they thought of everything. Very clean and easy check in. Dock in the back was perfect for a little fishing. Hubby caught a red drum off it on our first day. Hot tub sunsets were fantastic. We will visit again.

Very nice stay and vacation

The house is very nice and we had a great stay. One thing to know, it says checkin time as 400 pm on here but it is really 600 pm when the rental company reaches out. Also, the mosquitos are legit so bring bug spray! The house is located in a nice quiet neighborhood close to the bay and beach. Both easy to get to. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Family Fun in OBX

Everything was great. Property was clean although it didn't come with things like condiments or extra trash bags. The house was beautiful though. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and kayaks. One thing to note is that if you click on the map to get directions on the Vrbo app, it takes you to the wrong address. However if you type it in yourself to Google maps, it is easy to find.

Great for a quick trip. Would have loved to stay longer. House was bigger than expected based on pictures. Well stocked. Had everything we needed and more!
