Sweet Cottage in Hyde Park: Historic Neighborhood

One of the best neighborhoods in Austin, TX! A 5-minute walk to Mother's Cafe, Quack's, Fresh Plus, and more. Fantastic neighborhood for biking. There is a small park a 3-minute walk from the property which has tennis courts, basketball courts, and a community pool for adults and for children. This is a great house for one person or for a couple.

This house is a tiny in-law suite on the same property as a larger 3-bedroom house. The two have separate addresses. There is a sizeable living area (including a couch, a chair, and a desk, and a bookshelf), a small kitchen with a two-seat bar, a small bathroom, and a large-for-the-space bedroom. The living area has hard-wood floors and the bedroom has a white carpet that has been replaced within the last year. Large french windows line the bedroom and there are plenty in the rest of the house as well which makes for great light throughout the property. All windows are covered in white linen drapes in the bedroom and retractable blinds in the living area.

The living area has a desk with windows looking out onto the neighborhood, a couch, a chair, a TV, and a cute vintage coffee table.

The kitchen is small albeit very cute, and retains all necessary cooking equipment, including: a milk steamer, cookie sheets, mixing bowls, a tea kettle, a nice wooden cutting board, and more. However, there is no dish-washer but there is a drying rack for wet dishes.

The bedroom has two large closets on either side of the bed (one may be used for my own storage) and there is further storage in front of the bed, below the windows that line the room. There is a Dyson vacuum, a Swiffer, and a Bona in a small utility closet in the bedroom as well. All these devices making cleaning easy in the house!

The bathroom is small and sweet, and has a shower but no bathtub. As for bathroom storage, there is a medicine cabinet that has a lot of space in it as it has a larger than usual depth. There is also a small cabinet in the bathroom for cleaning supplies and toilet paper storage.

A cat lives in the house with me but will not be there during your stay.
