Our stay extended over a long weekend, during which housekeeping services appeared to be limited, particularly on Sunday. It seemed that room cleaning was prioritized only for departing guests in order to prepare rooms for new arrivals. As a result, trash receptacles in common areas frequently remained full and, at times, emitted unpleasant odors.
During our stay, not all occupied rooms were serviced. Our room was not cleaned at any point, and trash accumulated for the duration of the visit. When I inquired about housekeeping, I was informed that staff were responsible for cleaning approximately 100 rooms and that our room would be addressed later that day; however, this did not occur.
After spending time visiting family, we returned to find our room’s trash overflowing. Additionally, one room within our party had a “Do Not Disturb” sign placed on the door without our request, and no fresh towels were provided.
Furthermore, although I have stayed at numerous Hyatt properties in recent years and routinely receive loyalty points, I was informed that because this reservation was made through Travelocity rather than directly through Hyatt, points could not be awarded for this stay.
Overall, I was very disappointed by these issues, as well as by what appeared to be a lack of transparency regarding the property’s overall rating and service standards.
