It was walkable to restaurants and hiking trails. It was nice that we could park the car in the garage. The hotel is a little outdated, our bathroom shower was a little clogged took awhile to drain the water.

A little bit shabby due to the age of the building and amenities like the pool and hot tub, but the price is DIVINE compared with the next door neighbors. Spend 10 times as much and get nicer facilities, sure. As for proximity to gondola, shopping, dining? Unbeatable, truly. There are $50 million homes up the street that are a longer walk to the gondola.

Someone was playing guitar and singing by the hotel pool until 3am. For breakfast the employees were with larger groups of customers and no one ever came to my table where I was by myself

I liked everything. Everyone was really helpful, just something to keep in mind.... it'll be nice if employees understand that guess might need quiet time. The have a really LOUD lunch at the tv room without even care about me staying there. They kept on coming and going laughing and shouting... I understand the have to have a nice working environment but please provide them a place to do that and not in guess common areas.... this was a really really really UNPLEASANT experience, it lasted for almost 2 hours until I guess their shift was over past noon. :( this never happened to me in any hotel before (worse than a hostel! And that's the reason I do not go to hostels:( I espect that hotel rules about quiet are more "real"

The hotel is unique and has an interesting history. The breakfast was good as was the gym and hot tub. The hotel is in need of renovations which I was told will begin soon under new ownership. Our room was old and was rather stuffy with poor ventilation. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and responsive. When the shuttle was running late for our airport transfer, the owner delivered us to the airport in his personal car even though this delayed his appearance at a private event at the hotel. The customer service sets this hotel apart from many others.

Hey the location is great, but the hotel is starting to fall into disrepair. Is it really worth $500 a night, not really, but it's sometimes the only option in town. I think they are finally going to undergo major reno soon. It needs it!

Amazing hospitality

I had a wonderful week-long stay at the chalet. My friends and I were picked up by the hotel shuttle and enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts. Also, they could accommodate an early check-in and hold our bags for a day. Hospitality was great, and I would love to stay again!
