This delightful retreat was perfect for a week’s relaxing break with my husband and our teenage children (16 & 18). The accommodation lived up to its photos. It was full of traditional features, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean.Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by our wonderful host, Andreas (who speaks fluent English and German). Andreas recommended places of interest in the surrounding area and some quality tavernas. The fridge was stocked with essentials, along with a large bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking materials and utensils, herbs, spices, tea, coffee etc. The bathrooms had spare toiletries and each of us had fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers which was a lovely touch. Air conditioning units are in every room. The beds are large and comfortable. The hot tub or jacuzzi on the rooftop is a really special addition and the views of Lake Kournas are amazing.During the course of our stay, Andreas hand delivered some traditional biscuits and home baked savory pastries (Tiropita?). He also invited us to visit his family creperie in nearly Gourgioupolis and we accepted his kind offer! This gorgeous retreat fully lives up to its description. It is perfectly situated, just 5 minutes walk from the lake. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment. Andreas is a very kind, helpful host who has thought of everything you could wish for to have a relaxing holiday.
