The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The cottage that we stayed in was very dated and maybe clean but it was hard to tell because it was so dated. The couch was filthy and the mattresses were very soft and lumpy. There are no kitchens and only a mini fridge in the cottage. It all worked for us, but it wasn’t the best hotel stay I’ve ever had sadly.

This grand old 1920's hotel is set on the beautiful Digby Sound. Very atmospheric, you can imagine the Swinging social life back in the day. I booked a single night in Oct so very few guests. .Staff were super. The Full breakfast included was super.

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous views, friendly staff, fun atmosphere, good food, quaint hotel. The only thing I would say needed some help would be the cleanliness of the bathrooms. They could also use some updating. Otherwise everything else was spectacular.

Staff were great at all facilities (Check-in, restaurant, bar, cleaning, etc.). The rooms are a little dated and small. Ex - the door won't properly close in the washroom and the toilet ran the entire weekend. Not deal breakers for us as we'd plan on coming back.

Parking was easy, no issues finding a spot. We loved that it was a CP hotel back in the day and the architecture of the place is beautiful. I think the dining chairs were original to the building and I love them! The only issue we saw (heard, actually) was a constant beeping somewhere near the front desk. Didn’t affect us in our room or in the dining room, but it was a bit of an irritant if you were on the main floor. However, it won’t stop us from staying here again!

Stayed two nights in two different rooms. Rooms were small but it’s an old hotel. Bathrooms need an update. Very comfortable stay. Attentive and friendly staff. Buffet breakfast included was excellent. Beautiful grounds. Exterior of hotel needs a paint job. It is a work in progress. Nice to see the hotel now open year round. I will certainly stay again.

Beautiful location, lots of potential, but now, rooms, old, small mouldy bathroom, sink facet broken, very high water pressure, soaking wet every time we washed our hands! everything requires attention. Bed comfortable, very old well worn, stained linens. Extreely small room (yes older property, so expected, but reallllly small!) Staff friendly, very difficult to receive full daily service.
