Nice room and clean, but dark. No window. We were located near the exterior door so it was a bit noisy in the evening as people were coming and going through the hall. No staff on the premises except the person working in the small cafe next door…who was only available during daytime hours. Very friendly and helpful when we did interact with the cafe person. Excellent location.
Very much enjoyed my stay at the Fritz hotel.
I stayed in the small double room, room was a decent size and not as small as I expected it would be based on some of the other reviews. Very nice bathroom with lovely rainfall shower. Room had all the facilities you need including TV with some English channels. Room was decently clean and had a neutral smell. AC/Fan worked very well. Friendly and helpful staff.
Fantastic area. Quiet street but within walking distance to lots of restaurants, cafes, shops etc., very quick walk to the main museums (Rijks/Van Gogh). The Tram stops right outside, and there is metro station roughly a 7 mins walk away. Grocery store also a 7 min walk away.
I chose The Fritz Hotel for my Amsterdam stay purely for its prime central location and it didn't disappoint. Located right across from the Rijksmuseum and Museumplein. I was easily able to get to all the cultural neighborhoods by foot, never once dreading the return trek. There is a GVB tram stop right outside the hotel's front door (super easy to get to from airport). The trams were ever-present, but it was white noise at best; no late-night disruptions or early awakenings.
I stayed in Room 3.4, on the fourth-floor with a street-view window framing the Rijksmuseum. Sure, the elevator is slow and the stairs are steep but Amsterdam is a 750-year-old city of canal houses and cobblestones. Kudos to the hotel for installing an elevator at all.
The room itself was clean (even to the scent) and compact yet functional - ideal for a couple traveling light. Two medium suitcases slot in just fine. The bathroom was clean and functional. I'd like to have had a shelf in the bathroom and maybe a door to the typical euro-half shower glass to keep the shower water contained, but nothing to ding a start over. The shower was heavy pressure and great temperature. No complaints. The bed was dual duvet comforters as expected. The bed and pillows were perfectly comfortable and I slept just fine. There's AC as well so no need to open the windows.
The staff was friendly and super helpful at both check-in and check-out. I'd recommend the Fritz Hotel without hesitation and would gladly return.
The hotel is very central for getting around in Amsterdam, the rooms are quite small and doesn't have much storage so ideal only for short stays. The room did not have a window and was quite dark, but the air conditioning was effective. Housekeeping staff did a great job of looking after our room every day. Our flight was delayed by several hours and we did not have access to wifi to let the hotel know, this in turn caused a lot of problems which were eventually resolved. Might I suggest that the information needed for late check in be sent routinely at least 24 hours before arrival. The little cafe next door is a gem and the service was great. We would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Super clean hotel and very modern. Stayed for one night which was very comfortable. The location is awesome. The café which offers breakfast and coffees, as well as snacks throughout the day was very convenient, fresh and friendly.
Great hotel in a lovely location. The rooms are very small and the staircase is steep but there is a lift (even if it is the slowest ever). This hotel is affordable boutique and our room had a great view of the museum!
Great stay! We had a lovely room which was very tidy and clean with great amenities. Location was brilliant and staff were lovely! We will definitely stay here again.
Ideally situated in a quiet area to get around the city but still close to some eateries, also near the canal where trips leave from and tram line. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the baked goods and coffee were lovely too. Great shower and very comfy bed.
The WiFi key system was handy too. The only downside was our room didn’t have a window- not a biggie but think one of the rooms with a window would be better. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam.
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because it had a mini fridge. We like to be able to keep snacks ,milk etc in our room. The mini fridge didn’t work and we asked to have it repaired or replaced and it was never done. We ended up having to throw out some food.
Good location, small room. No access to ice makers or water fountain. Reception closed super earlier. All the toilet papers were already open and used. Very dim room, no overhead lighting tried to use the tv for lighting but that didn’t work properly.. we paid $/50 for one room and it was a waste of money , despite vicinity being close.
Property is clean, friendly staff, convenient and safe location
