Loved our stay here. All staff were friendly. Water and soft drinks available for purchase from reception 24/7. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Location of the hotel was perfect, lots of nearby shops and eateries. This was our 2nd stay here, and we’d stay again.

This hotel is very close to Wester Klerk and the Anne Frank House. Easy walk to grocery store and tram line. Corner of Herrengracht canal and Raadhuisstraat. Very friendly staff. Warning you will get exercise on the stairs! No elevator.

The bathroom smelled of sewage and the faucets were age old and dripping. Bed was good enough but overall this place was absurdly expensive for hostel levels of comfort. The location is good, though I consider this of secondary importance in a city as small and accessible as Amsterdam.

location of the hotel was good, very near to shops, bars, restaurants etc. room was very basic and had a very strong drainage smell - curtains didn't quite cover the windows, however we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, it was just a place to sleep.

Excellent location. The room—much like the stairs—is typically Dutch: small! It is quite expensive compared to other cities (and there are many taxes and fees), but that is due to the limited residential space available in the city itself. It offers a direct view of the canal, and you can walk everywhere.
