This is in the heart of amsterdam central, 5 mins walk from amsterdam central station. It's very good for going around the area and walking around amsterdam, the rooms were clean and suitable for 3 travellers, showers were fine. The stairs are long and tight, but other than that, no complaints.

Hotel Damrak Inn is conveniently located right next to the train station, canal tours, restaurants, and plenty of shopping. The location could not be better—it’s truly within walking distance of nearly everything you’ll want to see in Amsterdam. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. What really stood out, though, was the amazing staff. Every team member we met was personable, helpful, kind, and genuinely fun to talk to, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be right in the heart of Amsterdam, with easy access to all the sights and experiences the city has to offer.

Pros: Very close to station, decent price, private shower and toilet, 24 hour help desk Cons: not wheelchair friendly, or friendly if you have any luggage, even to get up to the reception desk you need to go up stairs. Also, there wasn't really a proper door on the toilet, they were more like glass saloon doors. Also, the bed really wasn't comfy at all.

Exceptional, would recommend

The room was clean and comfortable, the toilet was also very clean. The location of the hotel was very central, 5-7 min walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station. Plenty of metro/tram lines nearby. Dam square a few minutes walk away with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The receptionist and housekeeping team were very friendly and professional throughout the stay. Free coffee machine for guests which seems like nothing but really does improve the experience. Luggage room available if arriving in Amsterdam before check in time or leaving Amsterdam late in the afternoon/evening. No complaints with the WiFi. The only thing you should consider is that as the hotel is located in quite a central place it can be quite noisy during the day, however, during the night it was fine. The price was extremely reasonable and affordable for such a hotel in a good location.

Central Location, but mind the steps!

This hotel is not flashy, but to get 2 adults and 3 teenagers into a room together where we had a private bathroom and each had our own bed, I’m not complaining at all! It’s right on the main drag in Amsterdam, so you’re within walking distance to everything. We were on the 4th floor, so the kids thoroughly enjoyed opening the large window and people watching well into the evening. The only thing is the stairs - no elevator, and 67 steps to get to our room. Definitely doable for me at 5’2”, but my husband and son were constantly hitting their heads while simultaneously navigating the incredibly narrow and spiral-like staircase. To me, it all just adds to the adventure! It’s a budget hotel, but in a great location and was clean and comfortable - I was happy!

If you are traveling with any sort of luggage, do not stay at this place. They don’t show how many stairs there are at this property. The staff is rude, not accommodating, and don’t care about your needs. I messaged them days in advance if they can accommodate us to a lower floor due to one of our travelers being handicapped, however, they ignored that request and put us on the top floor with an injury, resulting in falling down from the stairs. I am extremely disappointed with this stay and highly encourage everyone to not book this stay.

This location was amazing! Right in the heart of Amsterdam central. The accommodations are very basic, but provided everything we needed as a family of 5 staying in one room. The beds and room were great.

This was a good spot for what we required - a cheap hotel, walking distance to the main attractions. It was perfectly adequate, comfortable and clean. Yes it's a bit noisy but that's what you get in the middle of a big party city! I did enjoy sitting at the window people watching. Especially the walk of shame procession in the morning 😆

Family of four visits Amsterdam,

It was difficult to find. It is literally on small sign next to a Fries shop. We arrived at night and the streets were crowded so we could not see the door. Other reviews weren't lying when they said super steep and narrow stairs. Luckily we travelled with backpacks so we managed okay. No lift/elevator. The room had 5 beds and it was a tight fit. The location is right on Damrak and steps away from Amsterdam Centraal and all the shops and restaurants. This is my 3rd time in Amsterdam and in general their spaces are small. No fridge, but we were able to put our cans on the ledge by the window to chill them since we went during Chirstmas time. They do have a nice coffee machine and teas in the check in desk. Wish they had a lobby for sitting.
