Great b&b in a very central location within Ambleside. The room was immaculate with a modern En-suite. My wife and I had a great time and Kevin and Tracey were the perfect hosts. Will be coming again.

The lodging experience the way it should be

Whereas I have had serious issues with my previous lodging during this trip (Kendal, Windermere), this place is hands down the most wonderful site. Clean. Comfortable. Great breakfast. Accommodating storage needs. Firm and hot shower with new fixtures. Quiet. Great bed and clean sheets. Clean carpet throughout the guest home. Hosts are knowledgable and friendly.

The Melrose was modern, very clean and the breakfast options were superb. Local for all restaurants / town amenities. We would recommend this guest house to anyone and will definately stay again next time in Ambleside Brett Glossop

Absolutely perfect! Kevin and Tracey have created such a lovely B&B. The decor, the extra touches like plenty of coffee and tea choices in the room, lovely furnishings, breakfast so lovingly made and Kevin and Tracey are so lovely. They’ve gone the extra mile and have given us the perfect stay. Close to shops and restaurants, transport and lake ferries. We could not have asked for a nicer experience.

Short break to the Lakes

A great guest house in the heart of Ambleside with secure parking a two minute walk away. Room was excellent, very well decorated ad fitted out. ON-suite was good and the shower was super powerful. Tracey and Kevin were great, super friendly and breakfasst was top notch, loved the big fat cumberland sausage and the poached eggs were excellent. Would highly reccomend.

Everything was top class. Beautiful room. Comfortable bed, toiletries, TV, tea tray all great. Breakfast was high quality. Very enjoyable. Guest house is right in town so you can walk to shops restaurants and good pubs. Highly recommended.
