Gem of a place, Great location and Friendly hosts.

Wonderful stay, could not fault in any way. Rooms furnished to a high standard, very clean and quiet. Fantastic hosts, could not be more helpful. Breakfast cooked to order as per individual requirements, great location, free parking.

Wonderful stay at Lacet house for my mums birthday, we were made to feel really welcome and looked after. The room was beautiful and just perfect for the 3 of us and the breakfast was delicious, would love to stay again 😀

Fell walking weekender

Wonderful b&b. A weekends fellwalking trip was made all the more enjoyable by tbe friendly helpful hosts & great breakfast. All at a very reasonable cost.

A little Gem

A wonderful B&B. Though parking was minimal at Lacet, Ambleside has ample parking without charges. This did not spoil our stay. Lacet excelled from room to breakfast, hosts were both accommodating & more than helpful. Ambleside is an ideal base for visiting the Lakes, the Lacet was the 'icing on the cake'. Look forward to our next visit, many thanks Lacet for an enjoyable stay.

Fabulous stay!

Had an amazing 5 night stay at Lacet House. Geri and Mick were so friendly. Really comfortable spacious room and a very comfy bed. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was amazing!!

Very convenient.

2 days nice room ,close to town. Good breakfast choices (done the night before. Parking can be one behind the other, but we were lucky as the street parking restriction sign just happened to be removed.

Cannot pick one fault with the B&B. Owners and staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms very homely and clean. Great base for getting out and around Ambleside and Windermere. Would recommend and will be returning in the future

Excellent !! Do not hesitate to book this lovely bed and breakfast. Lovely greeting from the owners. Location is fantastic with free parking. Rooms are very clean and modern with comfortable beds. We found the accommodation quiet with great views. We had a room at the top (American double). Breakfast was also cooked perfection. Little extras in room - tea coffee, water and biscuits. We usually stay in Bowness when visiting family but decided to give Ambleside a go instead. Very pleased we did, Many nice places to eat and locations to walk nearby. As for covid - the owners are doing well to ensure your safety. We will definitely return. Kind Regards J&R

Welcome was frosty, when the male owner thought we were already in our room and said he wasn't expecting guests. Room was smaller than expected, but clean. Breakfast was disappointing; poached egg undercooked, bacon and sausage overcooked; tomato rock hard; and beans had been left under a hot lamp, as they were dry. Hotel is well situated; however, parking is limited and we had to use street parking.

The property was very clean and charming. The location was central to everything and having a free parking spce was wonderful. The hosts were very accomadating and treated us like royalty. When we return to the area we will be booking here again! We loved staying somewhere that felt like we were staying with good friends instead of a stuffy hotel.
