"Pickings are slim in this section of Washington. The Rainforest Village Resort was a good pick with a nice throwback to mid-century. Furnishings are old but in great shape. We found our room to be clean with comfortable beds and hot water for the shower. Coffee makers in the room are a nice touch but no fridge (there is ice for your cooler in the general store). The adjacent store had most everything you need at reasonable prices. There is no breakfast so bring some with you. We did not eat at the Salmon House but it was doing a big business. This is a very quiet location with marvelous views of the lake. The short hike to the giant spruce is a must do!"
