The smell of the air fresheners or something in the lobby and hallways was overwhelming. After a long hike I did not even want to come inside! Everything else was amazing

What an incredible stay. The ground were beautiful overlooking the serene, crystal clear Lake Quinault surrounded by immense tall evergreens. Spacious room overlooking lake with fireplace and clean, modern bathroom. Cozy lobby with large fireplace and wooden beams makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time—in a good way. A perfect stay!

We had a fireplace room and it also had a view of the lake. The room was in good shape and clean. The bedding was comfortable. The bathroom are small and a little dated. The resturant serves good food. My only complaint is there is no cellular service and you get very limited free wifi after that you have to pay an extra fee. For the room price it should include free Wifi.

The beautiful setting was the best part, but unfortunately we could not see the Lake well through the old, cloudy, multiple windows that collect so much condensation there is no morning view. We suggest supplying squeegees. Also, please tell guests at check-in that the walls are paper thin and quiet hours mean you should speak in hushed tones — even inside the rooms. We could hear every word our neighbors spoke (way after 10pm and before 6am). And we got less than 5 hours sleep each night. We paid exorbitantly and were not permitted to upgrade the last half of our stay, even though there were rooms available and we were willing to pay an extra $100 per night to be moved. We will never stay there again, as this nearly ruined our special anniversary trip. On the flip side, Aaron was as helpful as he could be and very nice, although he could not get the manager to do anything more than extent a free breakfast voucher, which we enjoyed but was not enough to make up for four nights of very little sleep.

Our room was above the dining room & kitchen . So very loud late in evening & early in morning. Just asked for ice was a major problem for them. Restaurant or any food not available during day.

A large, loud wedding reception took place on the lawn in front of the lodge on Saturday until 10:00 p.m. We paid top dollar for a lake-view lodge room so we could enjoy the advertised views and serenity of the lodge’s location, which was impossible.

Can't beat the location: fantastic view and walkable trails—charming lodge, clean and with all the amenities except wifi, which is limited to 90 minutes. Food and lodging costs are expensive, but given the isolated location, it's understandable. I recommend it!

Try another place to stay, but come enjoy the lake

Room was nothing like advertised. View of a roof. No trees or lake. Coffee machine had no plug in unless placed on floor, windows very dirty, shower door did not close. Not able to change rooms as we booked through “3rd Party”, so hotels.com doesn’t come off as a good deal. The lake is gorgeous and the food was good.

Lovely spot, slow checking in. A little put off that the only breakfast option was a $25 buffet! I don’t want that much food and cost!! Dinner was wonderful in the beautiful historic lodge.

You can't beat the nostalgia you feel at this historic lodge. Relaxing on the back deck or lawn, looking at the lake with a drink is just perfect after a day of hiking. The inside gathering space is very inviting as well if the weather isn't as nice. The bar serves pizzas all afternoon and evening and we saw plenty of people opting to have that for dinner. We ate in the dining room. It was good and the view was nice. We arrived in the afternoon and checked out in the morning. We didn't have time to take advantage of the on site kayak & canoe rentals but would if we stayed longer. The pool and game room are nice amenities for families. Our room was in the main lodge. It was basic but had a view of the lawn and the lake and had a king size bed. We slept comfortably despite no a/c but I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it if it was hot out. You will be unplugged here! There is no cell service and you get 90 minutes of wifi per day. That was fine for us but it was a little weird feeling like family couldn't contact us.i do recommend staying here if you enjoy historic properties like I do. Even if you don't stay overnight it's worth spending some time there.
