I've been to various parts of Alabama 9 times in the past 4 years, so I have a decent perspective. At the price point I paid, I was nervous about the building and room potentially being a nightmare, but this was totally not the case. The front lobby was always freshly mopped and smelled good as soon as you walked in. All staff was extremely pleasant. My room seemed like it had new flooring and was clean. Only small complaints were the mattress was unsupportive and a bit uncomfortable and breakfast items like muffins and yogurts were not well-stocked all the way through 9am. This location is also central to places like Publix, Chick-fil-A, Walgreens, etc. If you're thinking about staying here, don't hesitate.

Check-in was excellent. Team member at the desk very pleasant and efficient. The facility was clean enough, but the stagnant cigarette smell is hard to overcome. It has seeped into the linens. For a nonsmoker, it was really hard to not notice the entire time.

Staff was courteous. Rooms were not very clean. We were directed to use the stairs to the 2nd floor, didn't see an elevator. This wasn't a problem for us, but definitely would be for many guests. The beds were comfortable and the sound suppression between the bathroom and sleeping area was surprisingly great. The breakfast was depressing. Glad we didn't intend to eat there. Selection was some biscuits, a pancake machine, dry packages of grits, packaged muffins, white bread, mealy apples, and some yogurt. Coffee was ok.

Spent one night in transit. Staff was great, room was okay bathroom was worn with lots of patches everywhere. Door showed signs of forced entry. Breakfast was terrible, if you can call it that. I wouldn’t stay there again.
