I was at Comfort Inn Glenmont, Albany South for 3 nights for my business training accompanied by my wife. I choose this location for 2 main reasons: indoor pool for my wife and good rating breakfast. Once we opened our room upstairs, we smelled smoke so we complained, and they switched us to a downstairs room which was much better with no smell. Here are my complaints: - fridge had no light and turned by itself. Made noise that bothered us especially at night - my wife enjoyed the pool but Jacuzzi was broken - breakfast was not as we expected compared to the price we paid and the rating it showed on the website. CHEAP and ready made for warm food. - bathroom door hinges made terry noise when close or open - pillow covers had stains

The staff was very friendly and kind. The facility itself is aging and not up to the cost of a stay. Everything from the bathrooms to the window coverings are dingy. Again, lovely people, but not a place I'd choose to stay again.

Nobody ever came to replace the towels or linens in my room. There also were some wires exposed in the hallways. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Pro: Staff was friendly and the beds were comfy. I did ask for a rt9 facing room as per a recommendation from another person and it seemed quiet enough traffic wise. Free breakfast was included. Cons: doors and walls were thin- you can hear everything in the hallways and door had 1.5-2” gap underneath. Pillows were square (strange), room had hair in sink, bottle caps under desk, AC/heater in our room was SO noisy I’m not sure I slept more than 2 hours. Definitely smelled old, like overly perfumed of some sort. Had our child with us and a second floor room no screen so window stayed shut and locked. Worth noting- The lobby had a sign saying, please excuse them during renovation (not sure didn’t see any work?) & The bar /restaurant had a sign on the door that said permanently closed.

The breakfast options were very good. The room was adequate, but not very well maintained. It was clean but rather shabby for the price. The attention at the front desk was not overly friendly when we checked in after a long trip.
