Outside the hotel smelled of drugs, and there were people partying around their car with loud music playing. There was no soundproofing at all in the rooms - the music could be heard very well and there was a kid that ran back and forth upstairs nonstop, even into the night.
The hotel was clean, though. The breakfast was OK - just cereal, plain oatmeal, muffins and bagels. Shopping was nearby, with two malls within 10 minutes and a grocery store within that range too.
There was often no one at the desk, and we had to wait about 10 minutes to get new working room keys (the other ones didn't work, and he said they couldn't be kept near a phone, which is a problem we almost never had in other hotels).
I would have given it 2 stars, but it was dirt cheap. You get what you pay for here.
