Kanye West Tickets
There are many words that describe Kanye West: talented, obnoxious, artistic, dramatic and, of course, controversial. Boring, however, is not one of them. You never know what Kanye West will do next and that is exactly why he captures the public's attention, whether he is performing one of his mega-entertaining shows or jumping unexpectedly onstage at an awards show. It is also why Kanye West tickets sell out quickly.
Born Kanye Omari West in 1977, the musician began his career as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he worked with such artists as Janet Jackson and Ludacris. The big turning point in Kanye's career came when he produced Jay-Z's "The Blueprint" album in 2001.
In 2002, the artist was nearly killed in an accident, which inspired him to write, "Through the Wire." That song, as well as "Jesus Walks," appeared on his 2004 album, "The College Dropout." Kanye won three Grammys with this album, including Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song for "Jesus Walks."
Kanye's second album, which was released in 2005, featured the chart-topping hit, "Gold Digger." His third album, "Graduation," went on sale on the same date in September 2007 as an album by another rapper, 50 Cent, which caused the latter to swear that he would stop making music if Kanye outsold him. Unfortunately for 50 Cent, Kanye did just that and "Graduation, which featured the catchy, "Stronger," debuted at number one. After this album dropped, the rapper's popularity skyrocketed and it became even harder than before to buy Kanye West concert tickets.
In 2010, Kanye released "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," which topped the Billboard 200 list, and then in 2011, Kanye and Jay-Z released their collaborative "Watch the Throne," album, which debuted at number one on Billboard's 200 list.
Although Kanye is an indisputably talented musician, he is also almost equally known for his off-stage antics and larger than life persona. While many of Kanye's moments are memorable and shocking, they don't appear to be calculated. Rather, the rapper seems to act impetuously and have almost a kid-like inability to filter himself. In 2005, at a live television benefit to help victims of Hurricane Katrina, a nervous Kanye West made the infamous, "George Bush doesn't care about black people," comment, as comedian, Mike Myers looked on in stunned disbelief.
Then in 2009, he leaped onto stage as Taylor Swift was accepting the Best Female Video award and declared, "I'm sorry, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time." The audience and Swift were all too stunned to react, but afterwards, the public outcry was swift in coming. Singer Katy Perry likened the act against the young ingénue, Swift, to stepping on a kitten.
Even when Kanye West tickets are sold out, fans don't have to miss out on seeing the exciting rapper in action. They can alway find cheap tickets to Kanye West concert shows here. But true fans need to act fast as Kanye West tickets, especially for the best seats, sell extremely fast.
