Newark International Airport (EWR) is located just south of Newark, a short drive from Jersey City and New York City on the New Jersey Turnpike, with plenty of public transportation options. To Frankfurt International Airport (Rhein-Main) (FRA), flight duration is just over eight hours. The airport is located south of the city itself and its excellent connections with the A3, A67 and A5 highways making it only a short drive away. There are also bus and rail routes to the city, as well as the rest of Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Frankfurt is almost exactly in the middle of Germany, and reflects this in its rich history and many attractions. Most prominent of these is the Main River Tower, which allows for lovely views over the entire city, as well as the surrounding countryside. For a feel of the city in older times, visitors can go to the Romer, the ancient city hall, or to the Staedel Museum; which houses a collection of works from across the last 500 years. The city's nightlife is not to be missed either, as Frankfurt is a center for German brewing.
Frankfurt's weather is temperate, with warm summers and cold winters. Visitors are advised to pack rain gear in spring and fall. The city's major hotels are clustered around the banks of the Main River.
