San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is located on the west side of San Francisco Bay right off of the 101 Freeway. It is accessible from downtown via all major highways, which also connect to San Jose to the south.
From SFO to Mactan – Cebu International Airport (CEB) typical flight times are 17 to 22 hours, depending on routes and stops. Passengers arriving in Cebu City will find themselves at the second busiest airport in the Philippines, located on Mactan Island in Lapu-Lapu City. Public transit services, taxis and rental cars are available for arriving visitors.
The Philippines is an island group, so there is plenty to do without having to travel very far. Cebu City is home to Basilica del Santo Nino, a historic church that dates back to Spanish colonial times.
There is also the Ocean Dreamer Island Tour and the Fun & Sun Dive Travel to check out on the water. Aquinid Falls and Tumalog Falls, two beautiful waterfalls, are a must-see. For shopping, visitors can head to Ayala Center Cebu, the local mall. Fort San Pedro, built in the 1700s as protection from Muslim raids, is also worth a visit.
Most travelers stay in the Waterfront hotels and resorts in Cebu and nearby Mandaue City. January to May is the ideal visiting time for tourists, although surfers enjoy coming during typhoon season, which varies annually, for bigger waves and better surf.
