San Francisco International (SFO) is in San Mateo County and about 13 miles south of San Francisco's downtown area. You can reach this airport via US-101 S or I-280 S with a connection to I-380 E. When flying from SFO to Yangon Mingaladon (RGN), flights usually last for about 16 1/2 hours with no stops. You can then get an authorized taxi at the stand near the Arrival Hall's exit gate or pre-arrange for car rental service. Yangon is accessible using Pyay Road.

Yangon, a commercial center of Burma, has many cultural sites, including the Shwedagon Pagoda, the Taukkyan War Cemetery and the Musmeah Yeshua Synagogue, the last Jewish temple in the city. Weather in Yangon varies by season, with hot summers, moderate winters and a rainy spring and early fall. Pack light, cotton-based clothes if you're planning to visit during the summer, as temperatures may exceed 90 degrees.
