The park is conveniently located for exploring everything Drenthe has to offer. Hop on a bike and discover picturesque nature areas, take a walk through the vast forests, or visit historic villages in the area. Thanks to its central location between Assen and Emmen, trips to lively towns are also easy to plan. Don’t forget to check out the Hunebedcentrum or the charming town of Orvelte, where you can even visit the smallest zoo in the Netherlands.

There’s plenty of fun for the youngest visitors, too! The park offers plenty of options, such as a panna cage, a mini-golf course, an air trampoline, and two playgrounds. The “Heart of Drenthe” Nature Trail offers children the chance to learn more about nature through play, with activities such as climbing, building huts, and tracking animals. Want to take the adventure further? Then go on a scavenger hunt with Teddy the squirrel and discover the park’s secrets. In addition, the kids can splash around in the indoor pool, which is open from April through September. During school breaks, the Fun & Entertainment team organizes all kinds of fun activities, so your kids can make plenty of new friends and have a great time!
