The location of the Swiss Chocolate Hotel was great, just a 5 to 10 minute walk from the train station. The Polybahn (funicular that takes you up the hill with views overlooking the city) was just a two minute walk around the corner. There are many restaurants and shops throughout the old town. The friendly hotel staff provided us with excellent restaurant suggestions. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Incredibly close to the Zurich HB train station, so getting in from the Zurich airport was so easy. We had our luggage held while we walked through old town and found something to eat. Housekeeping staff was phenomenal and we were able to check in a little earlier and got to grab a couple of hours of sleep before we ventured out again!! We would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at Swiss chocolate hotel for four nights. The property itself is beautiful, the location is fantastic, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The amenities were great, and we really appreciated the overall ambiance of the hotel. However, one aspect of our stay that left us disappointed was the housekeeping service. Unfortunately, during the entire four days we were there, our room was not properly cleaned. While the bed was made daily, the sheets were never changed, and no full cleaning was done. Basic services such as refreshing towels, vacuuming, or replenishing toiletries were also noticeably lacking. We understand that things can occasionally be overlooked, but for a hotel of this standard, we expected more consistent attention to cleanliness. It impacted our overall comfort and experience. That said, with some improvements to housekeeping and attention to guest room maintenance, this hotel could easily be a top-tier choice. We hope to see positive changes in the future, as the potential is definitely there.

Overall a few comments, they need to replace the mattress ASAP (at least the one in our room stains were too big to keep the mattress from my point of view..) the room needs to be vacuumed ours it wasn’t, if you are tall forget about the bathroom if you sit in the toilet your knees are inside the shower it is very tiny, they also need to offer more than one pillow, more lighting in the room. For the price it’s ok just some inconveniences that can be easily addressed. Location was really close to the train station and made moving around easy, and points for them having umbrellas available since it was raining.

Great location near the main train station. Lots of restaurants and shopping very near by. A/C was not working properly and our room was very hot. They gave us a small fan but it was a long sweaty night. If we were staying more than two nights we surely would have left. We stayed in this same hotel last year at this time and the AC situation was the same. We had hoped they would have fixed it by now, but it was the same. I would inquire about this before making a reservation as Europe has been getting hit by heat waves and a stay here doing one of those will make for a very uncomfortable stay.

I've stayed in this hotel many times before but this was the first time during summer. Even though the hotel says it has A/C in the rooms, it was a proper nightmare. It felt like it was inside a sauna, boiling! They run out of fans so my only choice was to open the windows and even though I was on the 4th floor, there was a bar under my window that was really loud. Even after hours, there was a lot of noise from construction. They also provide a mini bar in the room but it is so bad that it doesn't even cool down a bottle of water. They give a lot of excuses to why the A/C and mini bar are not great but it sounds like a lot of rubbish as they have proper A/C in the reception area. I'm never coming back during summer as they cannot provide a good service for the price they charge.

It was a reasonably priced, clean hotel in a very convenient location. Some reviews mentioned the air conditioning didn’t work well but it was definitely cool enough in our room and the weather was very warm during our stay. The rooms were pretty small though like a lot of European hotels.
