This is a super clean facility very close to the train station and old town. The room was very large by European standards. Checking in electronically was fast and easy. And the bathroom was large and had a fabulous shower. Would definitely stay here again.

We liked the hotel, very convenient next to the train station so clean and breakfast was really good and the staff very helpful, surroundings kind of noisy because of the Bus Station. But overall we enjoyed our stay at Fred Hotel.. I definitely would recomend this place

I loved this hotel, stayed 5 nights and had a problem the last night which was handled with kindness. If I go back to Zurich I will stay there again. Breakfast was good, housekeeping was good, location perfect and good restaurants everywhere. Front desk was always helpful.

Very pleased with the location as we used the train frequently. Walking to the old town area was doable—maybe 15-20 minutes. Breakfast here was amazing and overall the hotel was very efficient. Staff was a 5-star rating. If it’s your first time in europe, be aware that you will not find the usual amenities such as lotion, refrigerator, etc. Our room size was sufficient but sparse. The a/c was quiet and effective but we were not there during a heat spell. Bed was very comfortable. Also be prepared for the small elevator (we were on the 5th floor). It held 2 of us and our carry-on suitcases.

Convenient location, excellent air-conditioning

The room for one was about as basic as it gets but included a private bathroom. Breakfast buffet was quite good, and there was free coffee available around the clock in the lobby and on each floor. The location was superb, on the bank of the Sihl and a two-minute walk from Zurich Central Station. In hot weather, the powerful air-conditioning system was greatly appreciated.
