Great staff- friendly & helpful. Very efficient use of space. Strange thing about Europe and no shower food or curtains — the water goes everywhere no matter what you try to do to minimize it. Also, the Air Conditioning was minimal, there was a preset limit on the temperature.

Not ideal

It started badly - we all had a dreadful first night’s sleep as the room was horribly hot and the pillows ridiculous flat pancakes. Reception was shut when we arrived so were unable to request more pillows or any fans to help in the heat. Spoke with reception the following day and they were apologetic and tried to help but had no other rooms that could accommodate us. Only 5th floor rooms have air con and these were full for duration of our stay. They offered to reimburse us if we wanted to move to a different hotel which we contemplated but in the end we stuck it out. With extra fans and more pillows we slept better on the other nights. But for £350 per night it wasn’t ideal conditions. Staff were nice and helpful, breakfast was fine and Zurich beautiful but the crazy prices for everything in the city got to us after a while and it was a relief to move on to Italy.

Quaint hotel in Zurich with all the charm and amenities. Located on a side street just up from the canal. Lots to eat, shops and right at the base of Lake Zurich. Loved the old key system for the rooms. Great restaurant in the hotel for an afternoon beverage and snack. Breakfast available as well.
