I’d probably stay again because it’s cheap. However, I got in somewhat late around 9 PM and I had to walk down to the best Western to check in a half block or so away. When I got to the hotel room, there was no heat and it was too tired to walk back.

Old motel with raised foundation and squeaky floor. Very small bathroom. Front desk was closed and had to check in and had breakfast at Best Western nearby.

The breakfast at the Best Western was very good. We enjoyed the eggs and cheese, and the sausages. It was nice to have a variety of syrups for the waffles. What we didn't appreciate were the two large dogs at the table at the table next to us. They were clearly pets and not service dogs. I realize it is impossible for management to deny the owners who only had to lie and say they were service dogs. The room at Aiken's Lodge was adequte. It was very dated and didn't have a microwave, but it was all we needed. The night was quiet and we slept well.

This is an older motel, but the rooms have been maintained well. We arrived to a note on the closed office telling us to check in at a different hotel. I guess help is hard to find in the off season? It didn't inspire confidence in our accommodations. The beds were uncomfortable. The shower was small. The advertised breakfast was also available at the other hotel. This motel stay was fine for an overnight, but I'll probably take my chances somewhere else next time.

This was a nice place to stay! A bit older, but clean and pretty well kept. After hours check in had to be done at the Best Western, but it was a smooth check in from there. For some reason our power went out at about 10:30 at night, and when I called the 24 hour service line, they answered and promptly addressed our problem. I would probably stay here again!

The only downside to this midcentury time capsule was the fact that we had to walk down the street to Best Western to eat breakfast. I also think the base of the shower could use some attention but the vintage tile was great.

Cute and clean little room with a functioning fridge and a tiny freezer that worked. Wish it had a bath tub instead of a shower. I liked the central location with easy walking to shops and restaurants. Was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was at night for sleeping. The area felt safe as a solo traveler.

The property was cute, but there was no circulating air and it got really hot. The wall ac really did not circulate the air. The bathroom did not have a fan, so after a few days it smelled like stale air and old pee. There was at least 1+ inches around that door that you could see to the outside, which made for a noisy stay with cars and people walking by at all hours. I would not stay there again. Liked the retro feel of the room. It was very comfortable and clean. But because it’s an older hotel, I could hear the air conditioner in the rooms next to me however, I still got a good night’s sleep. Great location.

Staff was very nice. Unfortunately, there were problems with our room—shower was not great, missing smoke detector, weird smell coming from the AC unit, bad mattress, and noisy — the walls are so thin, you could hear the squeaky bed activity in the room next to us. We could also hear the neighbors talking.
