I was there very little time, but it was very lovely. The people that run it were very nice. The room was a good size and comfortable. I booked it because it was close to the train station, but it was the wrong one. Still nice though

Very helpful owners, great room, though the bed was a bit hard. Location very close to a lot of restaurants and transportation, including the Tianmen Mountain cable car. Note: the hotel includes two properties a short walk from each other so it took a bit of sleuthing to find where to check in; the property with the front desk is “Hotel California.” The coordinates provided on Expedia also didn’t take us to the hotel; you need to head north, away from the police station and orthopedic hospital.

The room my friend and I stayed in was clean and comfortable. Jerry was also very accomodating and helped my friend and I arrange various excursions around Zhangjiajie. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone who wishes for friendly service and a stress free trip.

The owner of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is central and walkable distance to the central of the city. The room was cosy. I enjoyed my stay here.

I had a really great stay here. The rooms are really comfortable with en-suites and a great location (very close to bus station and tianmen mountain cable car whilst also been a very short taxi to the airport). The host was very very accommodating and was happy to speak in English which was very helpful. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for an easy and comfortable stay.

Disappointing

First, the hotel is not 6 KM from the National Forest Park as indicated in hotels.com, but about 40 KM from it. This was disappointing but might not have been the hotel's fault. That said, the service at the hotel itself was bad. We had no hot water on our first night. There was also no room cleaning service while we were there. When we asked the front desk person for towels and shampoo bottles we were treated as though we had asked for the moon. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place (and hotels.com should update its system for Zhangjiajie to show that this hotel is nowhere close ot the National Forest).

Hotel California was super nice! The hotel was really close to the city (bus station, train station and cable car). The host was speaking good english and was really helpful with us for all our activities. I would really recommand this hotel if you stay in Zhangjiajie. The rooms was really nice and beautiful.

The property owner Sofia was so helpful with helping us get around Zhangjiajie National Forest. Her recommendations were extremely helpful and appreciated. The hotel is very cute and unique. Our only complaint were the beds were very very hard. Not something we are used to being from Canada so it took a little getting used to... other than that amazing hotel! Location was close to Tianamen Mountain main gate and a lot of delicious restaurants.

Great location, amazing staff, needs a really really good clean. Toilet is basically right in the way of the shower, all the skirtings need a good clean as it is quite dirty. But the bedding was clean.
