Over 200 years old, Xyloporta is a group of small one storey cottages allowing each guest their own entrance and terrace area. One cottage has an upper storey with a Juliet balcony looking out to sea. Recently renovated last year, the cottages have modern, minimalistic interiors but each one is individual in size and shape, which adds interest and variety. Based roughly around the central, shaded courtyard and olive tree, the central living, eating, cooking "house" is generous in its proportions, has two picture windows that can be fully opened allowing for a window seat looking over the pool and a balcony looking out to sea. The kitchen is open plan and designed for use by large parties. The sitting area is generous, with two three seater sofas and two armchairs around a coffee table, with a large fireplace (perfect for winter evenings). There is a large terrace, half shadowed by the pergola; beyond is the pool with its infinity-edge dropping down into the olive groves below. There is also a smaller, shaded, pool for children, shallow enough for little ones to splash in safety. The property is secluded and peaceful, at the end of a quiet track. Surrounded on two sides by olive groves, there is also a landscaped garden area which is being developed by the owner. It has wifi, air conditioning, two baths and showers en suite in every bathroom. Xyloporta is equally lovely in the spring and the autumn, as well as high summer. There are beautiful walks into the hills and around the coast, cycling routes to explore and simple tavernas to enjoy.

The property is secluded and very peaceful. The approach is discreet and hidden away. It feels very secure and the owner often stays there alone. A peaceful retreat.
