This is a beautiful property located just outside of the town of Yufuin. The service was great and the food was wonderful. We enjoyed soaking in the outdoor spa while viewing the scenery around us. The hotel shuttle from the train station was not very convenient with only one small bus per hour and reservations required in advance. We opted to take a taxi which was under US$10 and very easy. We stayed two nights and spent much of the middle day walking around the town. Highly recommend.

My first stay with KAI and it didn’t disappoint me. The environment, the service and the facilities are great and amazing. The food is absolutely one of the highlights. I am very interested in stay with other KAI hotels in the future. Totally recommend Yufuin KAI, it’s totally worth it.

Breakfast was delicious l but dinner was just ok only. However, we were too full to try the sake and rice crackers. The hand made course of lucky chain is interesting. Amazing property and service. Although rather costly, the sumptuous breakfast and dinner which were both included, made it excellent value for money. The best place to stay if visiting Yufuin for a couple of days.
