Casa Dorado is surrounded by permanent and seasonal residents who value the area’s peaceful environment. Loud music, disruptive gatherings, parties and vehicles parked in front of neighboring homes or driveways are prohibited and will not be tolerated. Please note that quiet hours are 9pm - 8am - no music is allowed during this time.



Casa Dorado is a bright, newly remodeled 2,120 square foot home on five private acres in Yucca Mesa, with playful desert style, custom finishes, abundant natural light and an easy indoor-outdoor flow. The backyard is the heart of the property, with a sprawling pool, hot tub, infrared sauna and fire pit. Inside, five bedrooms, a spacious living area, a well-equipped kitchen and a separate pool house give everyone room to gather. It suits families and friend groups who want space and a quiet rural setting.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The centerpiece is the expansive private pool, with open views of the desert and the Little San Bernardino Mountains; please note that the pool is not heated. After a swim, settle into the hot tub or warm up in the infrared sauna. A large covered outdoor area gives welcome shade and room for group meals, games and relaxed afternoons, with a propane BBQ, outdoor dining for 10 to 12, comfortable seating and a fire pit for after sunset. Outdoor and life-size games keep everyone busy. The home sits on five private acres in the quiet Yucca Mesa landscape. Desert weather can be windy, so umbrellas and other outdoor accessories must be closed when they are not in use and whenever winds pick up.



-Living Area-

The bright, open-concept living area is the central space for the group, with two sofas for relaxing after a day in Joshua Tree National Park and an Apple TV with popular streaming apps. The adjoining kitchen and dining area keep everyone together. The separate game room and pool house adds another hangout with a smart TV, foosball table, hanging chairs and a queen sleeper sofa, and its own exterior entrance gives a little extra privacy.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The modern kitchen is set up for casual group meals, with a cooktop, large air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, Samsung Bespoke refrigerator, coffee maker, cookware, dishes and utensils, plus a generous butcher-block work surface. Please note that the kitchen does not currently have a conventional oven. The indoor table seats six, and the covered outdoor dining area seats 10 to 12 beside the BBQ.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Casa Dorado has five bedrooms. Three have king beds, including the primary suite, with its custom hanging king bed and private ensuite bathroom with a shower. The fourth bedroom has two bunk beds, for four twin beds in total. The fifth bedroom is in the detached pool house, with a queen sleeper sofa and its own exterior entrance; it is not reached from inside the main house.

The home has two full bathrooms, including the primary ensuite. Fresh linens, towels, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, hangers and hair dryers are provided.

Casa Dorado is in Yucca Mesa, where quiet acreage properties and open desert views keep things peaceful, with easy access to Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Pioneertown, Flamingo Heights and Landers. Hike among rock formations and Joshua trees in the national park, browse vintage shops and local restaurants in Old Town Yucca Valley, or explore the galleries and cafés of downtown Joshua Tree. Pioneertown offers Old West history, live music and desert dining, and nearby Landers is home to the Integratron and its sound baths.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that there are a few supply closets that are locked that house supplies for the rental.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Please note that Casa Dorado is in a remote location, and the last 0.2 miles to the home are dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.
