Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Old motel

Older hotel with thin walls. The upstairs guests kept waking us up. It sounded like they were rearranging the furniture and falling into walls. The coffee bar was out of creamer at breakfast. I guess I’m used to nicer hotels. Disappointed 😕

Really cute little bed and breakfast! I checked in late so I had contactless check in, which was very easy. The rooms aren’t fancy and do show their age a bit, but they’re very charming and I found the bed to be quite comfy as well.

The front desk gal when we checked in was the rudest employee I’ve ever encountered at any business. The room smelled of outhouse disinfectant when we got to the room. We had to air it out for an hour. The wi-fi didn’t work. The jacuzzi was the most run down I’ve ever seen. The bed was limping and squeaked terribly loud with any and every move. The coffee was good. ;) I have never had such a bad stay somewhere before and have never given such a bad review but I want people to know to NOT stay here. (We checked in on 10/9/25 at 4:15pm)

This is the second time we stay at this hotel. The check in was flawless. The receptionist was friend and very attentive. The room is ample as it is a one bedroom apartment stile. Breakfast is great as per last time we were here. Over all, very satisfied with the hotel. We will continue to stay here in the future.

This is an older property that is in an unusual location. The front desk staff was pleasant, the breakfast was okay at best. Our room was clean but a bit noisy. The bath/toilet room could use a brighter lightbulb.

Room is spacious for 4 people, staff is very helpful and friendly, breakfast is very good,the claimed mountain view is just a small area with tall pine trees. We like the lobby, it makes us feel like staying at home. All in all, we are very satisfied with this one night stay and definitely will come back to Cinnamon Bear.

Breakfast quality horrible. I am not asking for foie gras, Brie and Cappuccino, but when the scrambled eggs and pancakes are barely warm ! Minimum variety of muffins and preserve non existent?! Standard room with two queen beds: POOR One bed had a very good mattress , the other bed has a mattress that was so old it was totally sagging when sitting or sleeping on it. In a nutshell the standard room is nothing better than a cheap motel.
