Comfy bed and clean room. Food was good. The hotel is just 8 minutes walk from the Minster and shopping areas. We found the hotel a bit gloomy and dark, but appreciate that it's in keeping with the Churchill theme.

The Churchill

The room was a small double & although the bathroom was nice and spacious the bed felt a little wedged in. Nice enough room though with tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided as well as toiletries. The garden dining spot was nice, I would probably go for the wood fired pizza if I did it again.

We loved our stay at the Churchill. It’s in a great location, about a 10 minute walk from York centre. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. The food in the bar was great-big portions too. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Overall this hotel is wonderful and we would definitely stay here again!

Loved the property the room we booked a superior double was lovely but was in the basement and felt slightly claustrophobic having no windows was also a bit dark and couldn't get any WiFi. Having said that the facilities in the room were excellent. I would definitely visit again but select another room the hotel overall was lovely excellent staff and great breakfast and enjoyed the alfresco dining in the garden.The location was great as well just 10 minutes walk to York centre.would definitely love to visit again

Unique building with historical past. Front garden area is lovely in summer sunshine (and warm evening) only 5 min walk to York Minster and City Centre but not affected by street noise. Nice breakfast, all staff friendly, only issue was room we were given looked out onto what can only be described as bin/dump and often staff members could be heard talking outside our window. Bathroom was nice and clean, bed ok. Tea and coffee (bags, which i like) and great touch Kitkat biscuits too. If wed been given a better room might have given 5 stars but overall very good. PS car parking is £18 for the day.
