Our favourite place to stay!

This was our perfect idea for accommodations in the heart of York. The staff were absolutely lovely and the breakfast was amazing each day.

Very nice people here! It is an old guesthouse so the fact I was on the 3rd was ok, the stairs were solid but narrow so if I had more luggage than a small backpack it would have been hard. No issues with the other floors though. So to restate floor 3, room 10 quaint room for person with very little luggage.

A fabulous place to stay within walking distance of everywhere you would want to visit in York. A very comfy room and one of the best cooked breakfasts you’ll find anywhere. We’ll definitely stay again on our next visit.

Lovely York Guest House

Very friendly staff who were attentive and chatty. Always saying that if you needed anything else just ask. Breakfast was lovely. Ideally situated close to the river which made for a very pleasant walk alongside the river into the City just 5 minutes away. Room was clean and tidy. A lovely 3 night stay. My only criticism is that the wi-fi was very hit and miss, frustratingly dropping out very often.

Great place to stay close to the city but far enough out to be quiet. Staff were all fantastic and so friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Only concern although it’s not a huge issue the trains were a little noisy but didn’t really disturb me but if that’s an issue for you take ear plugs

Nice quiet b&b

Nice visit to St Mary B&B. Good clear communication about arrival time and instructions on parking and entry. Nice big rooms and did not heard any noise from the other rooms or train line which is nearby. It is in nice walking distance to York centre. Nice option for breakfast which had an option of difference set menu, but you could still add additional without issue
