The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great with loads of choice. The house itself is in a good location and is walkable in around 15 minutes to the town centre. The decor in the rooms is very dated though and the furniture is a little worn. Overall it was good value though and we enjoyed our first time in York.

This is a great value hotel, it’s an old building so the rooms aren’t modern but they are spotlessly clean, breakfast is excellent, a selection of fruit and cereal with a menu of hot food cooked to order. I hope too many people don’t read this as the next time I come to York for the races, for which it’s a 20 minute walk, I’ll be hoping to book here again.

Included breakfast was good. Bedroom was clean, as was the bathroom. Had very little interaction with staff besides table server who was very good. Good location, on bus route in and out of city. Busy road outside. Didn't need parking, can't comment. Good value for money.

The room was nice and clean, bed was firm but comfortable. We had an issue with our first room where we weren't able to open the windows, but the staff were very helpful by allowing us to go to another room. Only suggestion I'd have would be getting smart tvs, but obviously thats not a necessity and oberlal had a wondeful stay!
