Hotel stay to attend a show

All staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful, Breakfast was good with everything you would expect on offer but we had to wait for a table as all were in use when we came down for breakfast. Our room was clean but had a strange smell in the bathroom and the room was cold even though we put on the heating using the pad on the wall. Overall a good stay just a couple of niggles .

Great room and breakfast was very good. Close to all town attractions and great restaurants. Very close to the train station, walkable distance with luggage, about 10 minutes or so. Easy walk.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast had a variety of food though could of done wiith a bit more choice of cold meat and cheese selection. The hotel was situated in a good location not far to walk to all the local attractions and amenities. Wiuld definitely stay there again.

Excited to visit the uk for the first time, where my parents and family grew up, and served in the British forces during ww1 & ww2. We were disappointed to hear that our plans were destroyed after discovering we were missing the new required ETA document to travel to the uk. We had to cancel our trip, because the ETA document would not arrive in time. We have had already booked several hotels in London, Sunderland and York. Out of compassion, all the hotels except this one credited us for future stays with them. I had notified this hotel several days in advance about our situation, and pleading with them, they refused to give any type of credit. Very disappointing. .
