The property is very nice. The only problem is the airflow. The moment we enter the room, it smells like sewage. We opened the door and kept it open with our garbage can. Front reception said that York is having plumbing issues so she gave us a fan and we kept the door open when we are in the room. I don’t know what it is as it could be a plumbing issue or they need return air.

We got to the property and we were given a room we’re supposed to be a queen size bed they fob us off with a smaller bed. The TV was up in the corner and we couldn’t see it unless we sat on the chair only one person both me and my partner like to watch TV in bed and we couldn’t do that. We paid way over the odds for this room and it was nowhere of the standard we expected it to be would not be staying at their place again.

Hampton Hilton York was a nice hotel to stay. It is close to York station so you don't have to wheel your luggage very far. From the hotel, you can walk to all the York attractions in the city center. The hotel also has a great breakfast.

This was in a convenient location close to the railway station. The room was well appointed although we missed having a fridge. The reception people were happy to refrigerate our fresh milk for our tea which was helpful. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was also nice and it was an easy walk into York for the tourist attractions. If you turn left from the hotel there is a narrow road or alley that cuts out some walking if you head into town

Great choice for a weekend in York

Had a really fantastic stay at this hotel. Check-In was easy. Rooms were really really clean and the whole place just looked spotless. On top of that, very friendly staff, a fantastic breakfast and a good bar. What more could you want? I was booked into another large chain hotel but changed to this one at the last minute. I'm so glad I did. Very convenient for the station.

Very convenient hotel a few minutes away from the train station and a few minutes from the old town. Good sized rooms. Great free breakfast included. Only downside was the air conditioning was a bit noisy though not terrible.

Good location, excellent breakfast.

Stayed for 2 nights, room was good and liked the fact the air-conditioning could be turned on and off. Good black out curtains as well. The complementary breakfast was excellent and yes it gets busy due to all guests having this extra but there's plenty of signs to tell you the best times to go. The hotel is on a good location quite close to the centre and within walking distance to the train station.

Comfortable and quiet

It is a personal view but this is one of our favourite hotel chains for their consistency and quality across properties and this was no different. The room was quiet, clean and very comfortable; overall the hotel was clean, staff friendly, polite, welcoming and efficient. The breakfast choices and quality was adequate and the dining area kept clean and cleared promptly. Overall, very comfort and relaxing break, thank you
