I stayed only a few nights and had wonderful experience. Place is relatively easy to find - this relaxing walk through the green park was a big joyful bonus. Very clean room, comfy bed, good shower. The hotel was very lovely, stylish and clean, and felt cozy. Bed was comfy and the room kept warm in the evening. There’s extra amenities near the rooms if you run out of anything. There is parking on the drive which is very handy if you’re travelling by car. The location is great, and the riverside walk to reach the city was a great way to start the mornings. We didn’t opt for breakfast but the selection looked good. Fiona was a great host and incredibly helpful. I would recommend Ashbourne House! Will stay here again.

Wonderful one-night stay at Ashbourne House. The room was very spacious, well decorated and absolutely spotless. Great attention to detail - there was even a supply of cotton buds and a small sewing kit! Really conveniently located to get to York centre, and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in! Will 100% stay here again when visiting York.
