Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Liked the teas and coffee. Great to be able to have a cup of coffee first thing without having to leave the room.
Our family stayed at three different hotels within Yellowstone NP in May 2026. Of the three, Canyon Lodge was the nicest in terms of room quality and food options. The rooms were new and clean. We were able to walk to their dining facilities which offered great, casual options at a decent price. It was a great place to stay while exploring the Hayden Valley, Yellowstone Lake and The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone areas. It also has good access to the Lamar Valley when the connecting road is open (late May). It is far from the Old Faithful area, but we were much happier leaving the congestion of that area behind to go to Canyon Lodge.
disappointed no place to really eat at the property, no TV in the room, shower was very small, places we did check to eat were same menu, or cafeteria style service, I would not stay at this property again
The hotel was fabulous! The property and lodge was very nice and the staff was very welcoming.
The only thing that didn’t meet our expectations was the WiFi. We were told there was WiFi but it did not work whatsoever.
Generally speaking the place was fine although the WiFi was awful (internet would not load basic websites and messaging intermittent). Food is served in a massive cafeteria and was mediocre at best.
I think this property is in a great location. It was very clean and everyone was really nice. However, I can’t believe the high price for a basic hotel room, with little AC (we couldn’t get our room cooled off till later in the night with the windows open), extremely slow wifi, and watered down shampoo. The in room coffee situation was also kinda gross. I just expected more for $700 a night.
It would be better if there was internet and TV. There is nothing to do in the evening. The food was cold. Best place we ate was at Lake Yellowstone Hotel. Our room never got refreshed while we were there for three days
