We visited in wJanuary from the United States and absolutely loved our stay. The hosts are extremely helpful, and offer transportation to/from ski rentals, slopes, restaurants, and hot spring/onsen for bathing. The host gave us recommendations for dining and we felt like we were at a 5-star resort with no worries. Very cozey stay for those seeking and enjoyable adventure to Zao Onsen. I definitely recommend.

Awesome owner couple who are ever so helpful. Ko San gives you a ride and picks you up to onsen, dinner, ski place etc. They also give you ticket access to Onsen nearby so you dont have to pay for entry fee.

The elderly couple that own the property were very nice and accommodating. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The lodge is dated but acceptable. Note that you will need the owner to drive you around during winter seasons as it is near impossible to walk up the icy/snowy hills to reach the lodge. This can be inconvenient as he is the sole driver so you may need to wait for the driver to return from an earlier trip. Also note that there is no on-site shower. However the owner will drive you to a nearby hotel with onsen to bathe. The onsen was nice and relaxing. Overall a pleasant experience.

笑顔で対応頂き、居心地がすごく良かったです！ 寝室はマットレスの上に布団で非常に寝心地が良く、水回りも綺麗でした。 町までの送迎や朝ごはんサービスなど、沢山気を遣っていただき、ぜひまたリピートしたいと思います。 Super polite and such good service overall. Comfy bedding and clean facility with free transportation service to the town. Definitely recommend.

The lodge a little hike/ride up the hill just beside the sunrise ski slope , and is run by a friendly elderly couple who makes you feel at home. Great for solo or group travellers!

旅館本身沒有浴室 附近有溫泉 在半山腰上有點難抵達~可以在山下打電話請老闆來載 但人力似乎不足~原本預定早上8點半要請老闆載我們下去但老闆消失 整個旅館剩一個老闆娘一堆人圍著她快忙死

まだ改装されたばかりで、ロッジの入り口に看板がなく迷ってしまいました。でも、電話したら分かりやすく説明していただき、通りまで迎えに出て下さいました。素泊まりなのに、朝食にキャンベルのスープとクロワッサンとドリップ珈琲をいただきました。近くの露天風呂のチケットも２枚ついていて大満足です。女将さんがとても親切丁寧で気持ち良く過ごせました。

老闆和老闆娘非常親切，很願意幫忙，房間和公共空間都很整潔，門口一出去就是纜車，ㄧ滑完雪就可以直接滑到家門口非常棒，但美中不足的是附近出了纜車旁的餐廳外沒有其他餐廳，不然就得花十分鐘走下山才有，和沒有地方洗澡超微有點不方便
