There were many challenges. When we arrived there was no heat. We contacted the host repeatedly with no answer. We were all in our ski clothes around the fire waiting for a response. Nothing ever came. There was also a vent in the ceiling completely exposed and open to the outside pouring freezing air into the house. Additionally we discovered someone living in the basement with no barrier between us and them. It was an awful experience and the trip we'd been looking forward to for months ended in us driving home in the middle of the night because the house was so unsafe .
