Simple check-in. Room is is quirky. You can tell that you are in an old building by the way you stood against the door and see the dressing table at an angle! Still adequate for my needs overall.

The room itself was fine, though they could pay more attention to elements such as missing light bulbs and vacuuming the hallway outside the rooms. My real concern was the entrance - the door to the street is left open all night, on a very boisterous street full of bars. The door to the rooms was also open when I returned from dinner, and there were no working lightbulbs in the hallway outside my room. I had to use the torch on my phone to see my way up a very narrow staircase to my room, and I didn't feel safe, especially as the door to the room has no deadlock. I used a chair on its side to block the door. In the morning, someone had thrown up in the entrance to the building - not surprising as the door is left wide open. There were no staff, and it just felt very neglected.

The room itself was fine, clean and decorated to a high standard. Kettle with tea making facilities. Coffee machine with no instructions - we had to find the manual online. Free wifi wasn't available and TV didn't work as it needed a different remote. There was no information in the room and no-one to contact. We had paid for breakfast but no information about when and where to get it. Leaflet in room for Bar-22 next door so we asked there. Got up for breakfast at 8am only to discover it wasn't served until 9am. The room was OK, but with no wifi, no TV, no information about anything, and no customer service, we found this a seriously disappointing stay

It’s not a hotel, there is no reception or staff. Just a door between two laundrettes, you get your key from a lockbox next door and access the entrance… then it’s rooms. The entrance is also grubby. Rooms were designed nice but unsure if they’re properly cleaned. The floor is disgusting, stains, crumbs and all sorts. I kept my shoes on at all times. Also they are old single glaze windows which means you can hear everything from the street. So when there’s a student night and screaming, shouting and music - be prepared to hear it all. No way to lock the room from the inside, it does lock when closed but it’s still a nice safety feature to have. Rooms on top floor are in complete darkness. No lighting working up there so had to use a phone torch to see.

No instructions received from hotel for check in process, paid for a breakfast which I was not available to me on the day. Room was dirty with rubbish and a strip of tablet left underneath it. No remote for the TV, only an amazon fire stick remote that could turn the TV on or off but couldn't change channel or volume (no sign of the amazon fire stick either). no support available from hotel despite advertising a live chat for issue via their website, which did not exist. No guest information in room, no information on Wifi name or passwords.

The room was not clean, there was dirty tissues left in the drawer and underwear under the bed. The bathroom window was also broken and had no privacy curtains, and there was nowhere to plug the TV in so it was unusable. Check in was straightforward.

Internet Access DID NOT WORK, even after staff were informed. Nowadays one expects it to be easy and RELIABLE. Secondly there was no landing light - fortunately I had a mini torch but it would have been very dangerous going downstairs without it.

Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately. Very noisy.

The room was nice however the carpets were dirty stained and the stairways dirty. However the most disappointing part was the noise. This is right opposite a very noisy pub and the windows are single glazed. The noise went on until after 2am. I ended up sleeping with my AirPods on noise cancelling mode. The shower room also offers little privacy with no blind and only privacy glass on the bottom half. We were on the top floor however there were windows opposite so people in these could have seen us showering.
