Our dream home! Escape the city to enjoy fresh air and beautiful Wonder Lake, just an hour northwest of Chicago. Lots of outdoor fenced area with trees overhead providing shade and tranquility. Views of the lake from multiple rooms and seating outside. Just a few houses from the beach, park and boat launch access for your enjoyment. Dog friendly. Walk to Wonder Lake marina just three blocks away to rent a jet-ski or pontoon, or have a hotdog on the water at Dock Dogs. Sit outside to eat at Napoli pizza or the McHenry VFW. On most Fridays and some Sundays, see the Wonder Lake Water Ski team put on a show!

McHenry drive-in theater is nearby and one of the last of it's kind. Pick berries a few miles away at Stade's farm or get some fresh eggs at Bull Valley farm. Stop at Riverside Chocolate factory. Canoe on Nippersink creek or hike Glacial Park, all nearby. Come for a weekend to reset or enjoy some of the local charm!

Lovely Home

The house was very lovely, only tough part is the steep driveway but it is still manageable. My friends and I had lots of fun with the ping pong table and grilling in the backyard. Super close to the lake which was very nice. The beach part was closed off so we couldn’t get into it but there was a dock you could fish off of. The host was always available and answered all my questions!

Family Mini vaca/ baseball tourney

The house was exactly as listed and the host was very quick to respond to my questions. The grandkids enjoyed the park and the lake. We grilled out for dinner and ate on the patio. Later we enjoyed s’mores by the fire pit. They also played ping pong in the basement. It was nice that the house has games and toys for little kids also. The only thing I wish the house had a dining table so we could all eat together inside. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Lake House

House is across the street from lake and provides everything needed to have a fun filled getaway. Grand kids had a blast.
