The “Cozy Corner” is a charming 3-bedroom cottage on Lake Witmer in Wolcottville

Come relax with the family in this 3-bedroom cozy lakefront cottage on Witmer Lake. This cottage features 2 king beds and 1 bunk bed perfect for a family getaway. With heating, AC, and a shower, guests will feel right at home. Witmer Lake is one of the best kept secrets of the Indian chain of lakes. It is located approximately 20 minutes from Shipshewana, 10 minutes from Lagrange and 45 minutes from Fort Wayne, Indiana. It consists of five lakes: Witmer, Dallas, Westler, Hackenberg and Messick Lakes. Witmer and Dallas are an all-sports lake and Westler, Hackenberg and Messick have a speed limit of 10 MPH great for fishing. You can enjoy sunsets and sunrises relaxing on the patio. Or just watch the boats, kayakers, and jet skis on the lake. Bring your fishing poles and fish off the seawall. We are also within walking distance from a lakeside diner. This area is Amish country, everyone is friendly and waves as they pass by!

Bedroom 1 has a king bed and a full size couch that pulls out and could sleep one adult or 2 children. Bedroom 2 has a king. Bedroom 3 has a bunk bed with full size mattresses.

This home has a large kitchen island that seats 5 and a high table that seats 4. There is also 3 seats for the littles at their own little table. The house has stainless steel appliances, a fully stocked kitchen, hair dryer, all linens, beach towels, WiFi, smart TVs in every room for streaming your favorite movies or shows. A washer and dryer is available. There are books, board and card games for your enjoyment. Outside are chaise loungers, gas grill and a fire pit for those cool evenings and life jackets (variety of sizes) are available. All bedrooms have ceiling fans.

There is a public launch on Witmer and Westler if you decide to bring your own boat or there are several places to rent a pontoon in the lake area. Our pier is available to tie off your boat and is available from the 1st of April until the end of September. We have parking for 3 vehicles on the drive. Gas for the boat is available at the diner, Coody Browns, it’s near Cozy Corner.

Cozy corner was very clean and very comfortable for our family to stay at. Our boys enjoyed using the kayaks. We were able to tie our boat up to the pier and take it out on the lake with the family. We had a lovely bonfire on the patio and played games on the patio. Communication with the host was very prompt. Highly recommend!

Loved the house and the view. It was spacious for our family of 8. The house was very clean and tidy. The host had the house very organized and labeled, making it easy to find things. Also, loved the recommendation for restaurants and activities. When we visit the area again we will definitely be re-booking here!

Oh My Goodness!!! Gorgeous property with take your breath away beautiful lake views. Tons of windows. Great outdoor seating and lakefront Kitchen and entire house stocked better than any rental I have been in! Everything like new!Beds and bedding so comfy. Fabulous sitting and hanging out areas inside also!I am super mold sensitive and know immediately if it’s present—not here!!!!!Brenda fabulously responsive and helpful!Had a long weekend with my 2 besties and didn’t want to leave. Will definitely return and suggest it to friends. So relaxing!

This is the nicest house we have ever stayed at, so far - very clean - comfortable beds - lots of open space and room, large, beautiful kitchen and, of course, a beautiful view of the lake! The area is very Amish, with horse-drawn buggies everywhere - which we loved. Very peaceful and quiet and relaxing - decent restaurants around, but not too many. The stairs going down into the water were fine for us older folk, although I'm glad we had our water shoes with us. We chose not to take advantage of the kayaks available or renting a boat - but it would be easy to do. I will note that the house is pretty close to a well-traveled road if you are bringing very small children with you - just something to be aware of. But there's lots of things in the house, as well as the lake, to keep kids of ALL ages occupied - even us older ones - lol
