The room and the resort grounds were lovely. Our room had a spectacular view of Mt. Gardiner from its private balcony - quite lovely and a special part of our stay. Views from the patio outside the main building and from the restaurant and bar were also outstanding.

This is a great location with all the amenities! The pool was awesome, the views are great. There’s hiking and horse back riding on the property as well as SPA treatments. We ate at the restaurant but was not impressed with the food. However you may not have a lot of dining options and at least it was available! My only complaint was the AC was very loud and did not seem to cool the room down.

The views are fantastic as is the setting above the valley. The pools are wonderful and well kept. The property is in terrific shape for being almost 60 years old. The restaurant served very good food, though the service was only adequate possibly due to under staffing. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed. There are no tvs so bring a good book if you want to be inside. There are many activities available right at the lodge which makes an extended stay very worthwhile. Sun Mountain is definitely worth checking out.

We stayed in a cabin on Patterson Lake. The cabin was nice but a little musty smelling. Slept four and only had three bath towels and no wash cloths or hand towels. We had to ask at the lodge and the front desk person asked us question after question because she didn’t want to get in trouble she said. Eventually gave us the towels.
