The rates are good and the room was clean, but the hotel left a lot to be desired.
You can't bring your luggage into the front door, but must drive around to the back parking lot after checking in. There is no place near the back entrance to park temporarily while unloading. Instead, you must find a parking spot some distance from the entrance to unload. If you need a luggage cart, you have to walk back to the entrance and up a flight of stairs or up and around a very long ramp to enter the back lobby for a cart, then bring it to your car the same way, then haul in your luggage up the long ramp.
The desk clerk at check in was extremely nice and very polite. She gave us a choice of 2nd to 3rd floor and kindly pointed out that 2nd floor was pet-friendly, in case that might factor into our choice. So we chose the 3rd floor. However, after we checked in, we heard a dog bark several times in the room across the hall. Maybe she just got the floors mixed up?
Also, on Friday night, we were awakened at 12:30 am and again at 3 with people talking very loudly in the hall. Not just a few words passing by, but having a long conversation just outside our room.
We were also on the back side of the hotel, and there was loud music in an establishment across the street on Brookstown Ave. after 10 pm. Couldn't sleep.
The breakfast for $8 would not be acceptable even if it were complementary. Bad scrambled eggs, weird sausage "product" and very bad hash browns.
