Winooski got its name from the Abenaki dialect and means “where the wild onion grows.” Inside, guests will find one bedroom with a soothing space featuring a king bed and the other bedroom with a full-size bed. It was a very nice stay! Place was clean, the host left great dinner recommendations, we were provided accommodations to do laundry while there, and it was quiet/peaceful! The only downside for us was that there was not AC even though it was mentioned in the posting - fortunately several standing fans were provided and it was cool outside so we were able to sleep with the windows open. We would stay here again!

We loved our visit to the Onion City Retreat! Laura is an excellent host, and the apartment is lovely, spacious, clean, well-equipped, and located very conveniently in Winooski. The view of UVM and Camel's Hump from the relaxing deck is terrific. We enjoyed the entire experience, and we look forward to staying here again.

This place was clean and in a quiet area, it perfect to work from for a week. The kitchen was well equipped, they even supplied all hand soap, dish soap, salt, black pepper, oil, coffee for the first morning. The shower came with shampoo, conditioner, soap and had a hair dryer. There was a desk in one of the bedrooms that I could work from, internet was good.

A great spot to stay for a Vermont getaway weekend! Laura was friendly and easy to communicate with. The location is close to 88 for easy access to other parts of the state, but the center of Winooski had everything we needed as well! A nice quiet neighborhood with clear instructions on how to access the space. The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Would highly recommend Laura’s place in Winooski!
