Wonderful stay for the summer with river views and amazing terrace. So many peaceful places to sit and watch the river in the grounds. The rooms were lovely - spacious, big bed and bathrooms and the extra amenities were very appreciated. Its a stunning setting for a summer break.

Like living in a Bridgerton White Lotus mashup. Staff was so attentive, helpful and went above and beyond. We enjoyed the stay so much, we extended another night. The grounds are beautiful, the inside maybe even more so.

The room was large, even with a kids bed in it. Pool was ok but changing rooms and general decor were a little bit “old school”. Free mini-bar included 1 bottle of milk and a Diet Coke; plenty of snacks but no alcoholic drinks in the mini bar.

What an amazing place! Beautifully restored, warm, cosy and very welcoming/relaxing and with a fascinating history (used in many films). Helpful attentive staff whilst not being “stuffy” (a pet hate of mine!). Would definitely treat ourselves to a stay here again.
