Beautiful views of Lake Windermere. Lovely old fashioned hunting lodge. Lovely big room and bathroom with separate shower and bath.Breakfast was chosen from a menu but took quite some time for order to be taken and meal to be served. Cocktails in the bar are a MUST.

weekend stay at Holbeck Ghyll

The hotel is in a beautiful spot overlooking Lake Windermere and very peaceful. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice and the cooked dishes were well presented. We had an evening meal which was a bit pricey but good quality food. We were in a lodge which was comfortable and warm but a few things need attention. The bathroom fan was not working for our entire stay and the washbasin had a huge crack in it.

Good short stay near Windermere.

Lovely 4 night stay. Very welcoming staff, especially Tom. Cleaner was brilliant - spotted our 25th Wedding Anniversary cards (we hadn't mentioned it) and she sorted a bottle of champagne for when we got back to the room (thank you!) View was great, even when raining and grounds are lovely too.
